This meeting was interesting. I wish I could tell you all what happened, but I can't. Come to next months meeting, I am sure it will be as interesting as the last one.
What I can tell you is that we have an election coming up in March. A few people have submitted in each running, except for the trustees. If you were interested in running for Recording Secretary, Executive at Large, Sargent at Arms you had to have your papers during January's meeting to be on the advance ballot. It used to be next month but as we have changed our bylaws to allow for our mail-in system it seemed better to have two months of preparation and time to run. You should start seeing flyer's soon.
You can still run for a position. You just have to bring everyone you can think of on voting day. Everyone else will be able mail in based on the preprinted ballots.
Also we have once again put a notice of motion to purchase the building beside ours for use as a parking lot. The vote will take place next month.
Finally the Job Steward dinner will be tomorrow January 19th at the Blackfoot Inn (6pm - Drinks, 7pm - Dinner). Let the hall know if your going. We are crashing the restaurant so your RSVP is important. So far 20+ are going.
