Election December

In December 2012 a new Treasurer will be elected to finish out the term of our newly resigned brother Ennis. If you are interested the position and have the required amount of meetings in be at our December regular meeting and have a nominator.

Also JEQ information from the President is that Implementation of the new system will be in December.

JEQ appeals are done.

The month of October and November were very busy for job evaluation. About 100 jobs were appealed. Which is about 1/3 of the jobs that were rated. Of the jobs appealed some went up some stayed the same and some even went down in their ratings. I am constrained with confidentiality so what I can tell you is slim.

I will go out on a limb and say is it is vital to any appeal that a person takes into account their typical day when filling out the template. Also keep in mind that the system of the past and the current one are very different to what is valued. Eventually there will be a shift in thinking on how work is going to be done in the city, as a labour force we will be affected.

Timelines are on track and because of this the process will be done by 2013. If you have any questions, please ask.
