Last week I sat on the bargaining committee, as I will continue to sit on for the duration of the renegotiation. I can't tell you much if anything as it could be seen as bargaining in bad faith.
Essentially we are opening up negotiations with the City as well as many other unions. If you are asking for information about how bargaining is going it can not be on this medium. The reality is most everything discussed in the meetings will be deemed confidential until it is not. I won't be updating this blog with progress or impasses unless the http://www.cupe37.ca website can say it.
In general I feel I can say many of your requested changes will be discussed on some level of depth. I apologize if you feel like I should be sharing information here, but I have been close to the sun before on this years ago when I posted something that had to be taken down. I would love to be able to fully discuss this with you but as it sits right now I am limited by process.

On a lighter note I am almost ready to launch the podcast. Which may be a huge success or not. I have settled on the provider and will try to be concise in message. We are so behind at the moment with how we reach our members. My hope is this will help bridge that gap.
What I have come to understand is the podcast will have a timer on how long posts are kept on the active server. Information changes and keeping old information in the database makes little to no sense. Plus the storage costs are not in my limited personal budget on this.
